Life Release Note#
Life Release Note is a channel that is half interview, half casual chat. datafox is currently a prospective Google intern but is surrounded by good friends pursuing diverse paths.
Unlike interviews with “my accomplished friends” who are already very stable and powerful, I specialize in interviewing those who are still exploring, still debugging, and still searching for their next possible direction.
We hope to use our current thoughts and voices to build a solid foundation for the next released version, and to allow peers and juniors on similar paths to see the next branch that we, as beta versions, want to try during the period from university graduation to entering the workplace.
If you have any episodes you’d like to look up or keywords you’re interested in, you can use the “Search for keywords you want to find” field above to search. This feature will use exact match search to quickly find keywords and display them instantly. Everyone is welcome to try it out. Additionally, if you are interested in my podcast and would like to chat with datafox about your life’s beta version decisions, please feel free to email datafox.tw@gmail.com. I welcome venturing and exploring potentially non-optimal but truly unique life experiences with partners from various fields.
Furthermore, if you have specific career confusion or technical questions you’d like to discuss with this fox, I also offer ‘Coffee Chat Appointments’. This is a free exchange session. If you find the conversation beneficial, feel free to express your gratitude by donating to Sunny Fox Family, allowing this energy to cycle back to the real foxes.

Continuing the hard-core career conversation from the last episode, this installment of “Life Release Notes” completely shifts gears to a “Rational Logic vs. Occult Universe” challenge arena! We’ve once again invited our friend Jun, who is currently working in consulting and was also the former president of the NTU Tarot Club, to chat about how he entered the field of metaphysics and the operational logic behind Tarot and face reading.

In this episode, I’ve invited my friend Jun, who is currently working at “Ensure Finance,” to discuss his unexpectedly expansive and non-traditional career path. As a political science graduate, he didn’t limit himself to the confines of his major. Instead, he skillfully transformed his past experiences participating in political party activities and student clubs into practical skills for consulting and sales.
We delve into the true landscape and career prospects of NTU’s Department of Political Science [cite: 2, 3][cite_start], as well as his shocking experience interning in HR at a semiconductor company across the strait, where he witnessed firsthand what “extreme involution” truly means. This experience prompted him to decisively switch paths, leading him to a financial advisor role with no base salary, entirely commission-based, yet offering a high degree of lifestyle freedom.

【Episode Title】 Ver 1.2.1 The One That Got Away: The Vegetarian Fox and Genius Joyce’s Everyday Studio Banter (This episode is an exclusive bonus)
【Episode Description】 “I will never hear this recording again in my life!” — So much for not releasing it? Sorry, waiting for 100 episodes is too long, so I decided to directly edit the disastrous studio scene into this exclusive bonus episode.
This episode has no in-depth career discussions, only an abundance of uncontrolled chitchat and various forms of mutual teasing. As a peace-loving (?) data science researcher, what exactly were Genius Joyce and I rambling about before the official recording?

This episode of “Career Simulation Lab” features my university classmate, Joyce, to discuss her fascinating journey from a finance major to exploring and eventually entering the VC (Venture Capital) industry.
We revisited her seemingly disparate but profound university experiences: from the Fuli Model UN Society and serving as HR Director at a management consulting club, conducting countless interviews with new recruits, to joining an NLP startup, and then interning in sustainable finance at E.SUN Bank (even experiencing the legendary morning exercises and uniform culture). Joyce shared how, in these vastly different environments, she clarified her true passions: the “agility of startups” and the “professionalism of finance,” ultimately finding venture capital as the perfect field to combine both.

datafox and Daniel were both exchange students in Spain. This episode originally started with a discussion about trading, but it completely veered off into a special feature on European memories, turning into a very real “from womb to outer space” version update.
Content includes:
Complaining about Spanish nightclubs Real-life encounter with a thief in Barcelona Disclosure of Iceland road trip expenses Information on Czech work visas UAE immigration guide (?) Because it was too unrelated to the main content, it ended up becoming a minor feature for the main update, namely ver 1.1.1.

In this sacred first episode, I invited my good friend Daniel, who started dabbling in stocks in high school and day-traded during classes in his freshman year of college, to talk about the ideals and realities of studying finance, and the bittersweet experiences of working and learning at an investment firm.
Finally, I also asked Daniel to offer some advice to junior students who aspire to become traders: what qualities are essential for a stock market trader, and in what directions should they strive to improve.
